A “rare” native Washingtonian, I was born in Alexandria and raised in and raised in Falls Church. I attended Mclean High School and joined the Marine Corps after high school. I eventually completed my bachelor’s degree at The University of Virginia. I still reside in Falls Church right down the street from my parents’ house I grew up in. I am a first-generation Korean-American. My father owned a beauty supply store that was originally in what is called Penn Quarter which is now the Woolly Mammoth Theater and eventually moved to the Florida Market which is now Union Market. These weren’t the best neighborhoods in the 80s however its amazing to see how Our City has grown in relatively such a short period. My mother was a nurse at GWU Hospital for 30 years. When I am not working hard, I play hard by fishing, golfing and cooking. I love spending time with my lovely wife eating out and traveling. We are huge lovers of Golden Retrievers and have two loving dogs, Lucy and Winston. As a man of conviction, I am still a die-hard Washington Redskins fan, please don’t hold that against me!
